The summer 2019 anime series Dr. Stone wrapped up its season today and it’s a show that’s definitely done well by fans of the manga and had drawn in viewers through its simulcast and simuldub. The official Japanese site has also now made it clear that a second season is coming that will focus on the “Stone Wars” arc of the manga. Check out the promotional spot below. No details on when to expect the season but with the first season not being a split-cour series, we could definitely see this one crop up next summer.
Shinya Iino directing based on the series composition by Yuichiro Kido. Yuko Iwasa is handling the character designs for it.
The Japanese cast includes Yusuke Kobayashi as Senku, Makoto Furukawa as Taiju Ōki, Kana Ichinose as Yuzuriha Ogawa, Yūichi Nakamura as Tsukasa Shishio, Gen Sato as Chrome, Manami Numakura as Kohaku, Tomoaki Maeno as Kinro, Ayumu Murase as Ginro, Karin Takahashi as Suika, Reina Ueda as Ruri, Kengo Kawanishi as Gen, and Mugihito as Kaseki.
