Nozomi Entertainment has another of their series making an appearance on the Funimation streaming service with Ninja Nonsense. The twelve episode run is originally known as 2 X 2 = Shinobuden and is based on the manga by Ryoichi Koga. The bilingual series is available to viewers in the US, Canada, UK, and Ireland.
Originally airing in the summer 2004 season, the English dub was produced by NYAV Post with Mar Diraison and Michael Sinterniklaas directing. The cast includes Dave Willis as Sasuke (1-3), Jason Linder as Sasuke (4 – 12), Emily Blau as Shinobu, Meredith Zeitlin as Kaede Shiranui, Sean Schemmel as Onsokumaru, Veronica Taylor as Miyabi and Zoe Martin as Kaede Shiranui.

Plot concept: Take one totally cute (and naive) ninja-girl trainee, add a ninja horde under the tutelage of the weirdest headmaster ever – a strange, yellow, spherical, pudgy… creature… named Onsokumaru – and you get the kind of “super-explosive ninja insanity” that can only be found in what’s been called “the runaway nuclear reactor” of anime comedies!
