The winter 2020 anime adaptation of Yako Gureishi’s manga Somali to Mori no Kamisama is getting its home video release handled by Movic in Japan. The distributor has set a box set approach for the twelve-episode shows where it’ll get a site on February 28th, 2020 and April 24th, 2020. They’ll be on Blu-ray only and priced at 22,000 yen each.
The series is directed by Kenji Yasuda with character designs by Ikuko Ito. Satelight is handling the animation production.
The previously revealed Japanese cast includes Inori Minase as Somali, Daisuke Ono as Golem, Hiroki Nanami, Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Yabashira, Saori Hayami as Uzoi, Yuuki Ono as Haitora, Rie Shibata as Rosa-obasan, Sho Hayami as Musurika, Tomokazu Seki as Kokilira, Ai Kayano as Hazel, and Ayahi Takagaki as Praline.
The manga from Yako Gureishi began in 2015 as serialized in Web Comic Zenyon.

Plot Concept: Set in a world ruled by spirits and monsters, and where humans are persecuted and driven to the brink of extinction, a golem and a little girl meet. Their journey as surrogate father and daughter to each other begins.
