One property that continues to have a life long past its expected day is that of Blood-C. With the stage play material streamed through Amazon Prime recently, we had the 2018 feature film with Blood-Club Dolls. Now, a sequel has been given the green light and is in production for a summer 2020 debut in theaters. Shutaro Oku is directing again working from the screenplay by Junichi Fujisaku.
The cast from the previous film are returning to it as well as some of those from the stage play with Ryūnosuke Matsumura, Kanon Miyahara, Yōji Tanaka, Ren Yagami, Yūki Tomotsune, Naoya Gōmoto, Judai Shirakashi along with new members that include Ryō Kitazono, Maon Kurosaki, Katsumi Takahashi, Norito Yashima, Aki Asakura, Shōta Takasaki, Yūya Asato, Taishi Sugie, Ryōsei Tanaka, Takuya Kawaharada, and Kō Hosokawa.
Keisuke Minami, who also appeared in the Blood-C: The Last Mind stage play), will also star in the film.
Plot Concept: After the massacre in Ukishima, Saya lost her memory and wanders the slums where she meets Haru, an unlicensed doctor, and Ran, the girl who hunts the Elder Bairns. As her memory returns, she discovers that she had relationships with them both in the past, secret promises made by the Nanahara caln and her arch-nemesis, Fumito. As Sayo tries to rescue kidnapped Haru, she encounters Fumito again.
