While they were never one of my top tier hentai companies, I definitely appreciated what JapanAnime brought to the market years ago. With the whole single episode per disc thing they weren’t exactly market-friendly but they got into adult stores and expanded the reach nicely. They’ve been dead as a distributor for a long time but now Right Stuf is listing a dozen or so titles that have been out of print for years as coming out on December 17th, 2019. They’re priced at $24.99 and going by artwork and listings may just be repressings of what came before. Right Stuf has “acquired” dead brands before – and we’ve all seen how Soft Cel Pictures got passed around – so it’s possible that they have the catalog and are just doing a Merry Christmas Hentai Dump.
