Originally set for the fall 2019 season, the anime adaptation of Yako Gureishi’s manga Somali to Mori no Kamisama is coming out as part of the Winter 2020 season. With two new TV spots having landed that you can see below, they reveal a January 9th, 2019 debut on Tokyo MX and others before rolling out to more services and satellite systems. The series is directed by Kenji Yasuda with character designs by Ikuko Ito. Satelight is handling the animation production.

The manga from Yako Gureishi began in 2015 as serialized in Web Comic Zenyon. It has five volumes out as of the announcement.
Plot Concept: Set in a world ruled by spirits and monsters, and where humans are persecuted and driven to the brink of extinction, a golem and a little girl meet. Their journey as surrogate father and daughter to each other begins.
