Once again Selina needs her sister, Liese, to come to her rescue. Liese is easily one of my favorite characters. She is the only girl that can openly and equally rival Arata’s pervy jokes and innuendos and I love it. Her powered up suit doesn’t hide much and it fits her character perfectly. But looking sexy isn’t going to help her defeat the Demon Miglione, who has an infinite source of magical power. That is the crux of being a magician, no matter how powerful you are, once you run out of mana you are done for. Thus Liese will have to be either incredibly tactical or overpower Miglione. If it means giving up her humanity to obtain that power, will Liese do it for the love of her sister and Arata?
In Trinity Seven’s attempt to regain the Grimoire’s from the Demon Commanders, Lilith finds herself up against the Commander, Arbariccia. Lilith is outmatched, thus Arbariccia’s overpowering abilities force Lilith to release her Demon Lord father’s powers. Unfortunately for Lilith, that means she must request that power from her father, who she loathes. The interaction between Lilith and her Demon Lord father is always interesting in its weirdness.
For all the sacrifices the girls of Trinity Seven are willing to make and for as frighteningly powerful the Demon Commanders are, perhaps the most frightening is Yui unleashed upon the world within Dante’s Gate. Yui has the ability to gather magical energy around her and use it in combat. Since the world they find themselves in is a near-limitless reservoir of swirling magical energy, Yui has the ability to kill Demon Commanders with the snap of her fingers! But with her childlike demeanor towards killing, I fear Yui may be in more danger of becoming a demon than any of the other girls in Trinity Seven!
This volume covers multiple instances where the girls of Trinity Seven push their magical abilities beyond that of their bodies. However, their love for Arata frees them to choose him over their own lives in efforts to break their ability thresholds. For some, it means accepting a dark inner truth about who they are and unleashing it. For others, it means accepting power from a dangerous source that could kill them just as easily as help them. With the battle against the Demon Commanders far from over, will all of Trinity Seven survive both mentally and physically?
