Originally serialized in Comic X-Eros from the November 2019 installment, The Stocking Lady Next Door is sequel story that’s a twenty-six-page story from creator Izure, who has eighteen other works on the service. This marked my fourth experience with this particular creator, something I wanted to keep up more with but had a hard time getting to reading as much as I wanted for a while. Izure’s appeal is in both character designs and the flow of the action while also having some fun story material that I enjoyed with their Promise and Little Black Flower chapters. So getting to take another dive into the world of Izure was completely up my alley.

I did struggle with the first installment since Takahiko was on the young side, but we do see that Tsukimi showing some regret over it even as she can’t stop herself in the month since things went down. The two have found a really good groove together and are very happy, whether enjoying the simple time when he visits her apartment and they cook or, obviously, when they get down to the nookie. When at work, Tsukimi has to stop herself from thinking about him because of what it does to her and ruins her stockings. So when at work she ends up seeing him out and about with a girl his age, every instinct goes off in her head. While she may be older than him the reality is those basic fears of loss and abandonment kick in quick and hard, making you lose all sense of self. Watching as her mind spirals from this you’d easily think she was the same age as him for the level of panic.

When she gets him back to her place later that night after work and school, you have to feel for her as she does her best to try and make him feel as welcome as possible in a way. While the idea of starting off with the usual routine of a meal or something is in play, it turns quick to her using sex as a way to claim him as her jealously is spiking. And this is a pure ownership move on her part as well as she goes all in with how she treats him. Izure’s artwork is obviously fantastic throughout this as we see it unfold with lots of great curves, moves, and just a lust for physicality on both their parts. But I also love that we get the moment where she realizes the truth and is a bit embarrassed about it. Yet even with that it helps to firm things up between them a bit more and understand the kind of slow-burn commitment that they’re taking on because of their ages.

In Summary
Izure puts together a pretty good follow-up chapter here even as I suspect there won’t be more. It’s good to see how these two ended up and what they’re doing to make it work even with all the creepy elements of it that it assuredly gets. The creepy stuff is still all obviously here but we spend so much time in Tsukimi’s head that you get some of her justification, ignoring of it, and the problems she’s actually facing that the problem itself fades to the background. Still, an easy one to avoid if it’s problematic material but for those it isn’t’, there’s more on the way.
