Battle At Sunset In The First ‘Azur Lane’ Anime Subtitled Clip

Belfast gains a better understanding of Enterprise as they battle together against a Siren!

The anime adaptation of the popular mobile game Azur Lane began airing on October 3rd, 2019 and it was just a week later that Funimation got the simuldub underway. With this clip, we get a subtitled piece that involves Sheffield and Takao being interrupted!  The series has Tensho directing at Bibury Animation Studio, which he founded. Jin Haganeya in on board to handle the scripts while Masayuki Nonaka is serving as the character designer and chief animation director.

The Japanese cast includes Yui Ishikawa as Enterprise and Mai Nakahara as Akagi. Yui Horie, Yō Taichi, Maria Naganawa, and Nozomi Yamane reprise their roles as Belfast, Ayanami, Laffey, and Javelin from the game.

The English cast includes Rachael Messer as Enterprise, Amber Lee Connors as Akagi, Alexis Tipton as Unicorn, Madeleine Morris as Javelin, Tia Ballard as Laffey, Dawn M. Bennett as Kaga, Kristen McGuire as Cleveland, and Mallorie Rodak as Prince of Wales.

Plot Concept: Azur Lane, a combination of all the different Camps in the world, was once successful in repelling the underwater menace, the Siren. Now splintered, they must face a new threat in Red Axis, former allies who crave to wield this otherworldly Siren technology for their own nefarious desires! Who will be victorious in the never-ending war between these battleship girls!?
