Noah Hawley Boarding Next ‘Star Trek’ Film

1 min read
It's time to head back to the Kelvin timeline.

There’s been a lot of silence regarding the next Star Trek film while we see a lot of activity on the streaming side these days. With a few projects coming up next year there, the film side has been silent after cast/cost issues saw both Chris Pine and Chris Hemsworth leaving the project. And while there was some fun about Quentin Tarantino directing or writing a film, that hasn’t lead to anywhere series (yet).

Now, Deadline has revealed that Noah Hawley is finalizing the agreement to write and direct the next Star Trek film. There are little in the way of details but it would be the fourth film in the Kelvin timeline that features Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, and Karl Urban. That series was started off by J.J. Abrams.

Hawley is known for his work on both Legion and Fargo for FX and just had his directorial debut with Lucy in the Sky.
