2 min read
Lupin the 3rd follows the escapades and adventures of master thief Arsene Lupin III, a brilliant thief who has been able to carry off heists no one ever thought possible. Although he has been arrested and jailed on multiple occasions, he has always managed to escape.

Discotek Media is tackling another of its properties with a release schedule for the Lupin the 3rd Part II anime series. The fourth collection in the series is getting a DVD release on January 28th, 2020 priced at $64.95. It’s in its original Japanese language with English subtitles only and no extras are listed at this time. The set covers episodes 118 through 155, bringing this Part of the franchise to a close. Plot concept: Celebrated master thief Lupin the Third takes a bow! With his partners-in-crime Jigen, Goemon, and Fujiko, Lupin goes on one last series of pilfering and treasure-hunting adventures in this send-off compilation of Lupin the Third Part II! Thrill as Lupin navigates a man-made labyrinth loaded with deadly traps, executes a bumpy switcheroo heist on the highway, and plenty more. But Goemon is no slouch as he faces down his archenemy, who wields his sword’s sister blade! And when poor Jigen loses his beloved hat to a fire, he struggles to aim his revolver to take down the arsonist!

The feathers in the cap of this burglary-filled bundle are an airborne battle of wits and a robotic finale, both written and directed by the endlessly talented Hayao Miyazaki. Collection 4 is a must-own for not only hardcore anime enthusiasts but anyone who just loves fun, classic animation. This boxed set contains the final 38 episodes of the second Lupin the Third TV series, presented in their original Japanese language with English subtitles. Also includes the two Greatest Capers episodes in English!
