The fall 2019 and spring 2020 anime series No Guns Life is getting its Japanese home video releases handled by Sony Pictures Japan. The split-cour series is set for a twenty-four episode run that will receive a four-volume box set release there. The DVD box sets are priced at 16,000 yen each while the Blu-ray box sets are priced at 18,000 yen beginning on February 26th, 2020. Each set will have six episodes.
Naotuki Itou directed it with Yukie Sugawara handling the series composition. Masanori Shino worked on the character designs while Madhouse animated the project.
The Japanese cast includes Junichi Suwabe as Juzo Inui, Manami Numakura as Mary Steinberg, Daiki Yamashita as Tetsurō Arahabaki, Yōko Hikasa as Olivier Juan de Belmer, Yōji Ueda as Hugh Cunningham, Christina Matsuzaki, Masashi Ebara as Christina Matsuzaki, Marika Kouno as Scarlett Gosling, Yūya Uchida as Cronen von Wolf, Kenyu Horiuchi as Mega-armed Tokisada, Inori Minase as Pepper, and Yūko Sanpei as Seven.
Kenichi Asai is performing the opening theme song “Motor City” for the series while DATS’ is hanlding ending theme song “Game Over.”
The manga series is licensed Viz Media with a fall 2019 print/digital start, began in 2014 and has eight volumes out as of this month.
Plot Concept: Humans that have been physically altered and turned into dangerous weapons are known as the Extended. Juzo Inui awakens as one of these weapons—with amnesia. But his job as an agent investigating the Extended leads to a mysterious child with Extended ties showing up at his office. Now Inui must keep the child away from street gangs and the megacorporation Berühren, and it won’t be easy.
