The spring 2018 anime adaptation of the manga Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii, aka Love is Hard for an Otaku, isn’t the only adaptation out there as a live-action film is coming. The film is set for a February 7th, 2020 debut and a new clip for it has arrived along with some additional casting. The three are in previous works by the director and include Kento Kaku, Tsuyoshi Muro, and Jiro Sato.
Yuichi Fukuda is directing the film and the cast includes Mitsuki Takahata, Kentao Yamazaki, Nanao, and Takumi Saitou.
The anime series was directed by Yoshimasa Hiraike based on the series composition that he put together. Takahiro Yasuda is handling the character design with A-1 Pictures handling the animation. The cast from the web promos for the manga reprised their roles for the show with Arisa Date as Narumi Momose, Kento Itou as Hirotaka Nifuji, Miyuki Sawashiro as Hanako Koyanagi, Tomokazu Sugita as Tarou Kabakura, and Yuki Kaji as Naoya Nifuji.
The manga comes from Fujita that began in 2014. The opening theme song is “Fiction” as performed by sumika.
