The fall 2019 anime series Z/X Code Reunion is getting its Japanese home video release handled by Happinet and they’ve set a box set approach to it. The twelve-episode series is getting released as two box sets that begins on February 4th, 2020 and concludes on April 2nd, 2020. Each set is listed at 25,000 yen and will have six episodes. .
Yoshifumi Sueda directing based on the scripts from Tatsuhiko Urahata, who worked on the manga with Takuya Fujima.
The Japanese cast includes Yui Ogura as Azumi Kagamihara, Aya Uchida a Rigel, Inori Minase as Ena Soranokawa, Aina Suzuki as Shuri Kijino, Maria Naganawa as Matoi Shinonome, Miyu Tomita as Yuni Tsukigata, Momoko Soyama as Ira, Yusuke Shirai as Nephrite, Megumi Yamaguchi as Muramasa, Mio Hoshitani as Zonne, and Nana Harumura as Amrita.
The opening song is “Destiny” as performed by Yui Ogura.
Plot Concept: Set in the not-so-distant future, five “Black Points” suddenly appeared around the world as portals to parallel worlds. Immediately after, strange creatures began their invasion from these portals. These creatures are the inhabitants of five worlds — the same worlds in different timeframes. In order to ensure their own future timeframe survives, each of the five invasion forces battle to wipe the other future timeframes out. The key is one card-shaped device.
