We learned back in March 2019 that an anime adaptation is in the works for the Mushoku Tensei: Roxy Gets Serious property. The official site has updated with the drop of a new nearly two-minute trailer for it, a new key visual, and some staffing information. The 2020 series is directed by Manabu Okamoto with character designs by Kazutaka Sugiyama. Studio Bind is on board for the animation production. Check out the promotion and visual below!

The series from Rifujin na Magonote and illustrator Shirotaka is slotted for an anime adaptation according to the book imprint MF Books. The light novels began in 2014 and a manga adaptation kicked off in the same year.

“We’re really making 2019 the year of Mushoku Tensei,” said Seven Seas Publisher Jason DeAngelis when they announced the license previously. “We’re continuing the manga series, releasing the original light novels in print and early digital editions, and now we’re adding the Roxy spin-off to our line-up. This is a great franchise and we’re glad we can deliver it in so many different ways to the fans.”

Shockingly, he finds himself reborn into an infant’s body in a strange new world of swords and magic. His new identity is Rudeus Grayrat, but he still retains the memories of his previous life. Follow Rudeus from infancy to adulthood, as he struggles to redeem himself in a wondrous yet dangerous world.
