Tubi TV Adds ‘Girlish Number’ Anime Streaming

Girlish Number Visual 8-26The fall 2016 anime series Girlish Number is getting some new streaming distribution as Tubi TV has stepped into the ring. The twelve-episode series has now found itself streaming on the Tubi TV platform in its original Japanese language with English subtitles where it’s an ad-supported site. Shota Ibata directed it based on Wataru Watari’s series composition. Sumie Kinoshita worked on the adaptation of QP:flappers character designs while Diomedea handles the animation production.

The opening song is “Bloom” while the ending song is “Ima wa Mijikashi Yume Miyo Otome,” both of which are being performed by the five female lead voice actresses under the name Girlish Number.

The Japanese cast includes Sayaka Senbongi as Chitose Karasuma, Kaede Hondo as Yae Kugayama, Yui Ishikawa as Koto Katakura, Kazuya Nakai as Kuzu-P, Yuuichirou Umehara as Gojou Karasuma, Eri Suzuki as Momoka Sono, Saori Oonishi as Kazuha Shibasaki, Takuya Eguchi as Towata AP and Kenyuu Horiuchi as Namba Shacho.

Watari’s other work My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU has gotten an anime adaptation and Qualidea Code came out this summer.
