With the second season of Hozuki’s Coolheadedness having wrapped up its anime TV run and home video releases, fans were left wondering if there’s going to be another season. We learned in March 2019 that the manga from Natsumi Eguchi is going to be getting three more OAD bundled manga releases over the next year. The releases are planned for the 29th, 30th, and 31st volumes of the series due out on September 20th, 2019, March 23rd, 2020, and late 2020 for the final one.

That third one has been the bit of mystery which has now been detailed a bit more. Amazon Japan is now listing an August 21st, 2020 debut for it, which is certainly a good bit away but on track with the larger plan – and hopefully coming amid or ahead another season.

The show is based on the manga of the same name by Natsumi Eguchi which has been running since 2011 in Morning 2 that has resulted in twenty-seven volumes seeing compilation so far.

Crunchyroll simulcast the first season and Sentai Filmworks released it on home video.

Plot concept: Hozuki is the aide to the Great King Enma. Calm and super-sadistic, Hozuki tries to resolve the various problems in Hell, including a rampaging Momotaro and his companions. However, he also likes spending his free time on his hobbies, such as fawning over cute animals and raising ‘Goldfish Flowers.’
