With twenty-two volumes of manga under its belt, we learned in December 2017 that the Kegan Ashura series was scheduled for an anime adaptation which brought out its first half with a July 31st, 2019 Netflix premiere. The second part of it was recently scheduled with an October 31st, 2019 release and after delivering us almost two dozen more actors joining the production recently, the official site now has a new nearly two-minute trailer for it to ramp up the interest.
The show is presented with the original Japanese language option as well as German, English, Spanish, and French dubs while also including English, Spanish, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese subtitles. Japanese closed-captions are available as well.
Seiji Kishi is on board to direct it based on the series composition by Makoto Uezu. Kazuaki Morita is handling the character designs while Larx Entertainment is handling the animation production.
The original work comes from writer Yabako Sandrovich with artwork by Daromeon which began in Ura Sunday magazine back in 2012 and has been pretty popular there, including previously winning a fan vote contest to get an anime adaptation.
The production previously revealed that “King & Ashley” from MY FIRST STORY is setting the tone as the opening song while BAD HOP is performing with the song titled “Born This Way” being used.
