Crunchyroll Adds ‘Assassins Pride’ For Fall 2019 Anime Lineup

The fall 2019 anime adaptation of the Assassin’s Pride light novel series from Kei Amagi is set to make an October 10th, 2019 debut and we learned previously the Sentai Filmworks has picked up the home video rights for the show and some streaming. Now, Crunchyroll has confirmed that they’ll be streaming the series as part of the season on the same day at 11:00 am ET. Availability is set for North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and the Middle East.

The staff has Kazuya Aiura directing based on the scripts from Deko Akao. Maho Yoshikawa is serving as the character designer and chief animation director with EMT Squared handling the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Yuuki Ono as Kufa Vampir
  • Tomori Kusunoki as Melida Angel
  • Yui Ishikawa as Elise Angel
  • Marina Yabuuchi as Rosetti Pricket
  • Maaya Uchida as Mule la Mor
  • Azumi Waki as Salacha Schicksal

The novels began in 2016 with Nuno Ninomoto handling the illustrations in it and it has nine volumes out so far.

The novels have also gotten a manga adaptation that began in 2017 with Yoshie Kato handling that in Ultra Jump with three compiled volumes released so far. Neither work has been licensed in English yet.

Tomori Kusunoki is handling the opening theme song “Ijin-tachi no Hikan” while the group Run Girls, Run! will be handling the opening theme song with “Share the light.”

Plot Concept: The series takes place in a world where only those from noble families have the mana to be able to fight against monsters. Kūfa is a noble-born to a duke’s family who is sent to tutor a young woman named Merida. If it turns out that Merida has no talent with mana, Kūfa is secretly instructed to assassinate her.
