Funimation handled the simulcast and simuldub for the summer 2019 show Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest but it looks like that won’t be the end of the series. The official site has now updated that a second season is in production with details to come in the future, though presumably the main cast and creative will all be coming back considering the timing of the announcement.
Kinji Yoshimoto is directing with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu working on the series composition. White Fox is joined by asread in producing the animation.
The Japanese cast includes Toshinari Fukamachi as Hajime Nagumo, Yuuki Kuwahara as Yue, Minami Takahashi as Shea Haulia, Saori Onishi as Kaori Shirasaki, Yumiri Hanamori as Shizuku Yaegashi, Yōko Hikasa as Tio Klarus, Tetsuya Kakihara as Kōki Amanogawa, Ai Kakuma as Aiko Hatayama, and Minoru Shiraishi as Daisuke Hiyama.
The light novels come from writer Ryou Shirakome and illustrator TakayaKi, which has J-Novel Club releasing digitally and Seven Ses Entertainment releasing in physical form. The series has ten volumes out.
