‘Adachi to Shimamura’ Yuri Novels Anime Adaptation Reveals New Details

We learned in May 2019 that another yuri series is in the works as the Adachi to Shimamura light novel series from Hitoma Iruma had gotten the green light. The official site has now updated to reveal that Akari Kito will play Adachi while Miku Ito will play Shimamura. The series is set for an undetermined 2020 release.

The novels began in 2013 with Non handling the illustrations and eight volumes are out as of the announcement; Seven Seas Entertainment has picked up the novels for release beginning summer 2020. A manga ran from 2016 to 2017 with Mani illustrating it.

Check out the official site and Twitter.

Plot Concept: Adachi and Shimamura, two young women who attend the same high school, are inseparable friends. Whether playing table tennis, chatting about favorite TV shows, or just relaxing together, they’re happy to share their days. When Adachi’s friendship turns into romantic attraction, the relationship begins to change, one day at a time.
