The DC Universe panel at NYCC this week had an interesting bit to it that should result in some really fun projects. They’re putting together an anthology TV series with Blue Ribbon Content, which is a division of Warner Bros. The series is going to be called Bizarro TV and will be made up of various shorts done in mixed media form with some animated, some live-action, others likely a mix.
The idea behind it is to work with some of the lesser-known characters that are harder to put into larger projects but still delight fans and can draw interest. With it set as a short-form series, they’re looking to work with characters like Ambush Bug, The Creeper, Space Cabbie, and Slam Bradley among others.
No firm dates were set beyond bringing it out in 2020.
Blue Ribbon worked on recent projects such as Constantine: City of Demons and Daphne & Velma.
