We learned way back in February 2018 the good news for the folks at Seven Seas Entertainment as it was revealed in Japan that the light novels for Didn’t I Say To Make My Abilities Average In The Next Life?! are getting an anime adaptation. Scheduled for an October 7th, 2019 debut, the official site has surprised by bringing out the first six minutes of the first episode to stream. With so many productions coming up for the fall, getting your hooks into a potential viewer ahead of the season and as the summer shows ends is proving to be a smart game. Check it out below, sans subtitles of course.

The series has Masahiko Ohta directing based on the series composition by Takashi Aoshima. So Watanabe handled the character designs while project No. 9 is handling the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Azumi Waki as Mile
  • Sora Tokui as Reina
  • Fumiko Uchimura as Mavis
  • Masumi Tazawa as Pauline
  • Wataru Hatano as Nano
  • Hiyori Kono as Renny

The original light novels and manga adaptation were picked up fall 2017 by Seven Seas.

Lead actors Azumi Waki, Sora Tokui, and Masumi Tazawa will perform the opening theme song “Smile Skill=Sukisukiskill” while the ending theme song “Genzai ↑ Banzai ↑” will be performed by the Azumi Waki in-character.

The opening theme song for the series is “Smile Skill=Sukisukiskill” by Akaki Chikai while the ending theme song “Genzai ↑ Banzai ↑” by Waki.

Plot Concept: When she turns ten years old, Adele von Ascham is hit with a horrible headache–and memories of her previous life as an eighteen-year-old Japanese girl named Kurihara Misato. That life changed abruptly, however, when Misato died trying to aid a little girl and met god. During that meeting, she made an odd request and asked for average abilities in her next life. But few things–especially wishes–ever go quite as planned.
