Latest Promo Arrives For ‘The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious’ Anime

2 min read

We learned in late 2017 with the arrival of the fifth volume of the Kono Yūsha ga Ore TUEEE Kuse ni Shinchō Sugiru, aka The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious, novel series that an anime adaptation of some sort is in the works for the project. Set for an October 2nd, 2019 debut, the official site has now brought out a new promotional video for the series that clocks in at just under 70-seconds and shows off the style and approach really well. Masayuki Sakoi will be directing based on the scripts from Kenta Ihara. Mai Toda is on board with character design while White Fox will be producing the animation for it.

Yuichiro Umehara has joined as Seiya Ryūgūin along with Aki Toyosaki as Ristarte, Hibiku Yamamura as Aliado, Atsushi Ono as Selseus, and Keiko Han as Ishista

MYTH&ROID will be performing the opening theme song for this show with “TIT FOR TAT” being used. Additionally, Riko Azuna will be performing the ending theme song “be perfect, plz!” for the show.

The series comes from writer Light Tuchihi which began in 2016 and has five volumes out while the manga by Koyuki has one volume.

Plot Concept: The story begins when the goddess Rista summons a hero to help her hard mode video game-like world. The hero, Seiya, is exceptional in every way, but he is incredibly cautious. He does things like buy three sets of armor (one to wear, a spare, and a spare for the spare) and go full power against weak slimes (just in case).
