Midnight Pulp Adds ‘GoShogun’ Anime Feature Streaming

A meteor strikes the Earth and is found to emanate a powerful new energy called Beamler, which is used to power a battle robot, GoShogun, and a teleporting fortress, Good Thunder.

Goshogun Movie HeaderDiscotek Media picked up and released the Sengoku Majin Goshogun TV series and movie in the last couple of years on home video and now they’re exercising some streaming options for them. The company has brought the film out for now to Midnight Pulp where it’s available in its original Japanese language with English subtitles. Availability is limited to the US and Canada where Discotek Media owns the rights to it.

Directed by Kunihiko Yuyama based on the series composition by Takeshi Suto, the show was animated by Ashi Productions.

The Japanese movie cast includes Mami Koyama as Remi Shimada, Daisuke Gouri as Commander Kernagul, Hideyuki Tanaka as Killy Gagler, Hirotaka Suzuoki as Shingo Hojoh, Kaneto Shiozawa as Bundoru and Shojiro Kihara as General Suguni Kattnar.

The English movie cast includes Veronica Taylor as Remy, Chunky Mon as Suegni Cuttnal, Dan Green as Leonardo Medici Bundle, Debora Rabbai as Remy’s Mother, Joshua Popenoe as Doctor, Lisa Ortiz as Secretary, Michael Alston Baley as Yatta La Kernagul, Mina Sands as Old Woman, Pete Zarustica as Officer, Scott Cargle as Officer, Scottie Ray as Shingo Hojo, Tara Jayne as Messenger of Doom, Tristan Goddard as Officer and Wayne Grayson as Killer Gagley.

The English TV cast includes Barbara Goodson as Nathan Bridger, Cam Clarke as Jason Templar, Gregory Snegoff as Prince Aharn / Dr. Fritz, Ike Medlick as Dr. James Chagall / Dark Star, Kerrigan Mahan as Scott Cutter, Lisa Michaelson as Kathy Jameson, Michael Reynolds as Captain Blade, Robert V. Barron as Jaroldan / Orn, Steve Kramer as Hugo / Dr. William Bridger and Ted Layman as An-D2 / Clarence.

Plot concept: A meteor strikes the Earth and is found to emanate a powerful new energy called Beamler, which is used to power a battle robot, GoShogun, and a teleporting fortress, Good Thunder. The Docougar Crime Syndicate, lead by crime lord Neo Neros, try to steal the secret of the energy from the inventor of GoShogun, but he kills himself rather than let them acquire it. His son is targeted by Neo Neros next, but he is taken in by the crew aboard Good Thunder, who travel the world fighting NeoNeros’s forces with GoShogun.
