‘Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker’ Gets D23 Special Look Trailer

The official Star Wars site has brought out a D23 Special Look trailer that plays to the generational aspect of the story and characters, moving between all three trilogies!

While we didn’t get a new trailer during the D23 Expo this year, we did get the new poster that you can see to the right. Now, the official Star Wars site has brought out a D23 Special Look trailer that plays to the generational aspect of the story and characters, moving between all three trilogies and hinting at connections and giving us the tease of a potentially dark Rey. There’s a good bit of new footage in here that will definitely excite. With the way everything echoes in this trilogy, one can easily suspect the Rey/Kylo fight is set to mirror the Obi-wan/Anakin one from Revenge of the Sith as well, down to the flipping from lava to water.

The film is set for a December 19th, 2019 premiere with J.J. Abrams directing based on the script he co-wrote with Chris Terrio. The cast includes Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, John Boyega as Finn, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata, Domhnall Gleeson as General Hux, Kelly Marie Tran as Rose Tico, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, Billie Lourd as Lieutenant Connix, Naomi Ackie, Richard E. Grant, Keri Russell, Matt Smith, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, Billy Dee Williams, as Lando Calrissian, Carrie Fisher.

Plot Concept: Every generation has a legend.
