‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ Debuts First Poster

2 min read

It continues to be absolutely exhausting to be a Star Wars fan – online, at least. With a lot of good information on Friday related to the Disney+ side of the property, Saturday saw some of the theatrical elements get a little noise with J.J. Abrams talking about Carrie Fisher and how they found a way to use The Force Awakens unused footage to bring her back for the end. This panel was done without video of fan photography and there wasn’t a lot coming out of it as no new trailer is ready and work on the film continues.

What we did get, however, was a new poster that will be added to my collection as it wraps up the nine-run series.

The film is set for a December 19th, 2019 premiere with J.J. Abrams directing based on the script he co-wrote with Chris Terrio. The cast includes Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, John Boyega as Finn, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata, Domhnall Gleeson as General Hux, Kelly Marie Tran as Rose Tico, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, Billie Lourd as Lieutenant Connix, Naomi Ackie, Richard E. Grant, Keri Russell, Matt Smith, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, Billy Dee Williams, as Lando Calrissian, Carrie Fisher.

Plot Concept: Every generation has a legend.
