The ripple effect of the Solo film and its performance and reception continues as it looks like the previously talked about potential Obi-wan film is now turning into a Disney+ series much as the Boba Fett one became The Mandalorian.

Deadline is now reporting that Ewan McGregor is in talks to return to the character for a Disney+ series of some form. The actor received lots of acclaim for stepping into the younger version of the Alec Guinness role for the prequel trilogy and he has said on multiple occasions that he’d easily return for more and even provided a whisper line in the current film trilogy.

There are no details about what the series would be about but there are plenty of options as seen through the comics in that they can explore more of the Clone Wars era stories and mingle things within his time on Tattooine after Revenge of the Sith.

In addition to The Mandalorian, Disney+ has a Rogue-One character series coming focusing on Diego Luna’s character along with Alan Tudyk reprising his role of Cassian Andor and K-2SO respectively. Another animated season of Clone Wars is also in the works.
