We learned earlier this year that the manga Businessmen in Africa from Gamu is getting an anime adaptation. The official site recently updated with a new an English language title of African Office Worker with plans for an October 2019 debut. The latest has now come in the form of some new cast additions and a look at their character designs. The show has added Yui Ogura as Gorimi and Eri Kitamura as Shishimura. Check out the designs in the tweet below.

The series is directed by Tetsuya Tatamitani who is also working as the chief animation director, art director, background artist, color designer, and director of photography. Yuichiro Momose is handling the scripts with Hotzipang working on the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Hiro Shimono as Toucan
  • Hina Kino as Sasshō Hamster

The manga began on Gene pixiv back in December 2014 and had a brief short produced for the Anime Beans app in the summer of 2017.

Check out the official site and Twitter.

Plot Concept: The manga follows a lion, lizard, and toucan as they live the lives of office workers in a capitalist society in Japan, while also dealing with their unique situations as animals living beyond the savanna and the food chain.
