Aniplex Japan is bringing out the Anohana – The Flower We Saw That Day feature for a priced-down release for a limited time and in a more limited than usual way. The movie is a theatrical retelling of the TV series through a new lens that adds more to the story while still retaining the heart that made the TV series such a fan favorite. The film is getting seaprate DVD and Blu-ray releases that arrive on September 18th, 2019 but are limited at this pricing until December 31st, 2019. Usually this lasts for a year at this price. The DVD is listed at 1,980 yen while the Blu-ray is priced at 2,480 yen.

Plot concept: In Anohana -The Flower We Saw That Day The Movie-, fans can once again join the members of the Super Peace Busters as they gather to remember their dear friend Menma one year after their emotional reunion. The story beautifully incorporates highlights from the TV series as well as demonstrating Jinta and the rest of the group slowly coming to terms with their past and looking toward their futures together. The film is sure to be a heartwarming experience for both fans that are new to Anohana and fans that have followed the TV series alike.
