NHK is doing some new promotion for the anime adaptation of the Marimashita! Iruma-kun manga that’s set for an October 2019 premiere with a twenty-three episode run planned. The latest comes in the form of an update that reveals that Takuya Sato has boarded the project as Sabnock Saburo, which just sounds ideal. The next announcement is set for an August 19th debut. It’ll be directed by Makoto Morikawa based on the series composition by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu. The project is being animated at Bandai Namco Pictures and is slotted for twenty-three episodes.
The Japanese cast now includes:
- Ayumu Murase as Iruma Suzuki
- Ryohei Kimura as Asmodeus Alice
- Ayaka Asai as Valac Clara
- Takuya Sato as Sabnock Saburo
The series comes from creator Osamu Nishi which began in 2017 and has eight volumes out so far. The property has had a slow but steady climb in compiled sales and there’s enough material for a solid cour to help raise its profile in the circulation of the magazine and eventual volumes as well.
Plot Concept: The story focuses on Ikoma, a kind-hearted 14-year-old boy whose parents sell him to demons for their own selfish interests. However, the demon he is sold to has no grandson of his own, so he dotes on Ikoma and sends him to demon school.
