With the Lupin the 3rd: Fujiko Mine’s Lie feature film scheduled to land on May 31st, 2019 in Japan, Kadokawa recently set the home video release plans for it. Set for an August 23rd, 2019 debut, there are four editions being planned for it with:

  • BD LE: 7,800 yen
  • BD RE: 4,800 yen
  • DVD LE: 6,800 yen
  • DVD RE: 3,800 yen

With it coming out in a few weeks, we now have a look at the main cover and the packaging for the limited edition side of it that’s definitely visually striking.

It looks like the limited editions get a specialty box, a 100-page reference materials book, a genga collection, stage greetings video, the announcements, a cast commentary, and a staff commentary.

This film is part of the recent “trilogy” of feature films that begin with Jigen’s Gravestone and was followed up by Goemon Ishikawa’s Sprawy of Blood.

The film is directed by Takeshi Koike with a screenplay by Yuya Takahashi, both of whom worked on the two prior films. Animation production was done by Telecom Animation Film. The Japanese cast includes Miyuki Sawashiro as the titular Fujiko Mine, Kanichi Kurita as Lupin, and Kiyoshi Kobayashi as Daisuke Jigen.
