Crunchyroll is digging into another of its series to add to its pile of song sequences to be streaming with the first season of Sound! Euphonium. With a number of projects coming from this over the last few years, it’s great to go back to the beginning. It’s here that you can experience the second opening sequence and song “Soundscape” by TRUE and the closing song “Vivace!” by Tomoyo Kurosawa, Ayaka Asai, Moe Toyota, and Chika Anzai.

The series was released in North America by Pony Canyon USA.

The show is based on the novel by Ayana Takeda. After originally being talked about back on October 2014, it was formalized that Tatsuya Ishihara is directing the series based on scripts by Hukki Hanada while Shoko Ikeda is handling the character designs for it.

The series stars Tomoyo Kurosawa as Kumiko Omae, Ayaka Asai as Hazuki Kato, Moe Toyota Sapphire Kawashima, Chika Anzai as Reina Kosaka, Minako Kotobuki as Asuka Tanaka, Saori Hayami as Haruka Ogasawara, Minori Chihara as Kaori Nakaseko, Haruki Ishiya as Shūichi Takamoto, Takahiro Sakurai as Noboru Taki, Kenjiro Tsuda as Takuya Goto, Miyuki Kobori as Nashiko Nagase, Konomi Fujimura as Natsuki Nakagawa, Yuri Yamaoka as Yuko Yoshikawa, Yoko Hikasa as Aoi Saito, Manami Numakura as Mamiko Oumae and Aya Hisakawa as Michie Matsumoto.

Plot concept: Sound! Euphonium tells the story of Kitauji’s High School’s music club, a top level club that had fallen from the ranks after their adviser changed. However, a new advisor has come to whip the musicians back up to shape. In their first year of high school, Kumiko Oumae, and her classmates Hazuki and Sapphire go to see the brass band club. Kumiko decides to join the club and continue playing the euphonium until she sees her middle school classmate Reina. After remembering an incident that happened during a middle school brass band competition with Reina, she hesitates.
