As part of the 50th anniversary Go Nagai’s work, the spring 2018 season included a new incarnation of one of the more popular mainstream works with Cutie Honey Universe. Sentai Filmworks picked it up this time last year revealed at Anime Boston that they’ll be dubbing the series with Jessica Calvello coming back to play Cutie and that David Wald is directing it. With the release out recently with a July 23rd, 2019 debut, Sentai Filmworks has now brought out a new dub trailer for it that shows off more of the cast.

Akitoshi Yokoyama directed the series based on the series composition by Natsuki Takahashi. Shuuichi Iseki served as character designer and animation director with Production Reed handling the animation.

Plot Concept: Cutie Honey Universe follows Honey Kisaragi, an amazingly humanlike and fashion conscious android with the unique ability to transform her body into a wide range of outrageous yet stylish disguises, each of which comes with its own dazzling super ability. After a run-in with a sinister secret criminal cabal organization, Panther Claw, the luscious and law-abiding Honey makes it her mission to bring them down.
