The summer 2019 anime series Granbelm is underway and the folks at DMM Pictures are doing some new promotion for it. Ahead of the fifth episode that’s set for an August 2nd, 2019, they now have the first look preview for it. The series has Masaharu Watanabe directing based on the scripts by Jukki Hanada. Shinichirou Otsuka is on board for the character designs and Nexus is handling the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes Miyuri Shimabukuro as Mangetsu Kohinata, Atsumi Tanezaki as Shingetsu Ernesta Fukami, Yōko Hikasa as Anna Fugo, Yurika Kubo as Nene Rin, Aoi Yūki as Suishō Hakamada, Chinatsu Akasaki as Rosa, Hikaru Akao as Kibō Kohinata, Manaka Iwami as Kuon Tsuchimikado, Juri Kimura as Nana Rin, Nozomi Kasuga as Mimi Rin, and Marika Kōno as Claire Fugo.
The opening and closing sequences which features the song “Tsuki o Ou Mayonaka” by Eir Aoi and “Negai” by Uru respectively.
Plot Concept: The destiny of the full moon– The wheels of fate start spinning on the night of the new moon.
It had been nearly 1,000 years since all the magic in the world disappeared, and most people had forgotten it ever existed at all. Kohinata Mangetsu is a cheerful high school student who has a pretty positive outlook on life, but there was some doubt in her heart. She has nothing to call her own– Because she wasn’t good at academics or sports, she dreamed of having something she was actually good at.
On a night where the full moon was shining brightly, she happens to meet another girl who also has the character for “moon” in her name named Shingetsu Ernesta Hukami. That was also when she encountered the mechanical dolls called “ARMANOX.” The wheels of fate of the full moon start to spin slowly…
