The home video release for the Birthday Wonderland feature film is being handled by Warner Bros. Japan and they’ve set a few editions for it. Set for a November 6th, 2019 release, it’ll come in a regular edition DVD priced at 3,800 yen, a regular edition Blu-ray at 4,800 yen, and a limited edition Blu-ray at 8,800 yen. The limited edition is listed as coming with a bonus disc with event video, specials, and more to be revealed.
The film comes from director Keiichi Hara based on the book by Sachiko Kashiwaba that came out in 1988. Miho Maruo wrote the screenplay for it.
The Japanese cast includes Miyu Matsuoka as Akane, An as Chii, Kumiko Asou as Midori, Masachika Ichimura as Hippocrates, Nao Toyama as Pipo, Keiji Fujiwara as Zan-Gu, and Akiko Yajima as Dorobo.

Plot Concept: Akane is shy and not confident with herself. One day before her birthday, she is begged by mysterious great alchemist Hippocrates and his pupil Pipo to save their world, and is taken to “Wonderland” that is filled with happy colors. The world, which is connected to the door of the basement of her aunt Chii’s antique store, is in danger of losing its colors. Akane becomes a savior to defend “Wonderland” and begins a great adventure. Then she is also required to make a decision to change her life.
