At SDCC today, Joe and Anthony Russo talked about some of their upcoming projects in development through their AGBO Studios. With the pair having a fairly similar upbringing to a lot of older anime fans such as my generation, they’re in the midst of developing a live-action Battle of the Planets, which was the American-ized version of Gatchaman. They don’t have any writers on it yet but it’s a film that they might direct it themselves depending on how things shake out. The pair and their studio has been shepherding a number of projects as they move away from the Marvel Studios side after the two Avengers films that came out in the past year or so.

Plot Concept: Using amazing weapons powered by super-science, the international terrorist organization known as GALACTOR is out to steal all of Earth’s resources for itself and its inhuman masters.
