The winter 2019 anime series Grimms Notes based on the game by Square Enix has now gotten some additional distribution. The full twelve episode series is available on Hulu in its original Japanese language with English subtitles. Sentai Filmworks has previously picked up the rights to the show with it covering United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Latin America, Central America, Spain, Portugal, Scandinavia, and the Netherlands. They’ll be bringing it out to select outlets soon for streaming and will have a home video release for it down the line as well.
The series is set to make a January 10th, 2019 debut in Japan.
Seiki Sugawara is directing it based on the series composition by Hiroshi Yamaguchi. Kentaro Matsumoto is handling the character designs with Brain’s Base working on the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes Ryota Ohsaka as Ekusu, Reina Ueda as Reina, Miyu Kubota as Shane, Takuya Eguchi as Tao, Takahiro Mizushima as Loki, and Sumire Uesaka as Curly.
Ayana Taketatsu is going to handle the opening theme song “Innocent Notes” for the series while i☆Ris is set to perform ending theme song “Endless Notes,” which isn’t too much of a surprise as one of the members, Miyu Kubota, is in the series itself.
