2nd ‘Astra Lost in Space’ Anime Episode Previewed

It’s not too often that you get an anime adaptation of a manga series two years after it ended, but here we are with Astra Lost in Space. The summer 2019 anime series has its second episode out with a July 30th, 2019 debut for it and the official site has rolled out the first promotional spot for it. The anime adaptation has set Masaomi Ando to direct based on the scripts by Norimitsu Kaiho. Keiko Kurosawa is working on the character designs with studio Lerche handling the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes Yoshimasa Hosoya as Kanata Hoshijima, Inori Minase as Aries Spring, Shunsuke Takeuchi as Zack Walker, Tomoyo Kurosawa as Quitterie Raffaëlli, Hina Kino as Funicia Raffaëlli, Risae Matsuda as Luca Esposito, Kouki Uchiyama as Ulgar Zweig, Saori Hayami as Yun-Hua Lu, and Nobunaga Shimazaki as Charce Lacroix.

nonoc is going to handle the opening theme song “Star*Frost* while the ending theme song “Glow at the Velocity of Light” is being performed by Riko Azuna

Based on the work by Sket Dance creator Kenta Shinohara, the manga ran in the Shonen Jump+ app and it saw a print release in North America in English through Viz Media. It was also a bit of an experimental series as it had a voice drama that ran alongside the manga. The series began in 2016 and wrapped up in late 2017 with five volumes total.
