The second season of Krypton is underway after radically changing the game at the end of the first season. The show is getting ready to debut its fifth episode on July 10th, 2019 and ahead of that Syfy has put out a new promotional spot for it. The episode, “A Better Yesterday,” will be directed by TBA based on the screenplay by TBA.

The cast includes Cameron Cuffe as Seg-El, Georgina Campbell as Lyta Zod, Ian McElhinney as Val-El, Rasmus Hardiker as Kem, Wallis Day as Nyssa-Vex, and Aaron Pierre as Dev-Em, Hannah Waddingham as Jax-Ur, and Shaun Sipos as Adam Strange.

The project comes from Warner Horizon Television and DC Comics and is being set up at Syfy. The development has David S. Goyer as an executive producer on it and he also wrote the pilot for it. Ian Goldberg of Once Upon a Time will also be producing.

Plot concept: Krypton is set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home planet. It follows Superman’s grandfather (Cameron Cuffe) — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos.
