We noted that it was a good move on Kodansha USA’s part as they picked up the rights to the Are You Lost? manga last year as the series, known as Sounan desuka? in Japan, is getting an anime adaptation. Crunchyroll announced their pickup for this back in May – before we even had a premiere date for it – but now they’re able to set the details. The show hits today at 1:45 am ET for their members. Availability for it was also revealed with it open to members worldwide outside of Asia. Nobuyoshi Nagayama is directing based on the series composition by Touko Machida, Ezola is on board for the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • M.A.O. as Homare Onishima
  • Hiyori Kouno as Asuka Suzumori
  • Kiyono Yasuno as Mutsu Amatani
  • Azumi Waki as Shion Kujou

The book began its run in the magazine in January 2017 and has four volumes out as of early March 2019.

Plot Concept: Because of a plane crash … starting today, we’re spending the springtime of our lives on a desert island!! There’s nothing here, so we have to make everything!! And eat everything!! (Ugh!) Check out our high-school-girl survival story of courage and knowledge. We’re actually doing pretty well! The early part of the story includes how to eat cicadas, how to build traps, a simple allergy test, how to eat hermit crabs, etc.
