The official site recently updated to reveal a July 3rd, 2019 debut for the show but it’s also expanded on that by revealing that it’s a one-hour special. Now, the official site has brought out a new commercial spot for the project and the latest full-length promo that utilizes the opening song from it. The anime adaptation has set Masaomi Ando to direct based on the scripts by Norimitsu Kaiho. Keiko Kurosawa is working on the character designs with studio Lerche handling the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes:

Based on the work by Sket Dance creator Kenta Shinohara, the manga ran in the Shonen Jump+ app and it saw a print release in North America in English through Viz Media. It was also a bit of an experimental series as it had a voice drama that ran alongside the manga. The series began in 2016 and wrapped up in late 2017 with five volumes total.
