With the set now out with a June 18th, 2019 release, an error has been discovered that the company is getting out ahead of quickly.

Viz Media revealed at Anime NYC last year the welcome news for Sailor Moon fans that they’re working through redubbing and bringing out the original series and that they’re now closing in on the Sailor Moon Stars portion of the franchise. With the set now out with a June 18th, 2019 release, an error has been discovered that the company is getting out ahead of quickly.

We have discovered an issue in the form of text errors in the booklet packaged with our Limited Edition of SAILOR MOON Season 5 Set 1. The erroneous text is in the romaji provided with the song lyrics. The booklet is the only item affected and the issue does not affect the rest of the Limited Edition set or the Standard BD or DVD releases.

We are deeply sorry for this issue. We are working on a replacement solution for fans who have already purchased the set and would like a new booklet. Details will be announced as soon as possible. Updates will be posted here, as well as through social media.

The previously announced cast additions:

  • Stephanie Sheh as Chibi-Chibi
  • Melissa Hutchison as Sailor Star Fighter
  • Erika Harlacher as Sailor Star Maker
  • Sarah Williams as Sailor Star Healer
  • Carrie Keranen as Sailor Galaxia
  • Corina Boettger as Sailor Tin Nyanko
  • Faye Mata as Sailor Aluminum Siren
  • Katie Leigh as Sailor Iron Mouse
  • Andi Rich as Sailor Lead Crow

The season ran for thirty-four episodes starting in 1996.

The show was directed by Takuya Igarashi based on the series composition by Ryota Yamaguchi. Katsumi Tamegai handled the character designs for it with Toei Animation behind the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes Aya Hisakawa as Ami Mizuno/Sailor Mercury, Emi Shinohara as Makoto Kino/Sailor Jupiter, Kotono Mitsuishi as Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon, Michie Tomizawa as Rei Hino/Sailor Mars, and Rica Fukami as Minako Aino/Sailor Venus.

Plot Concept: Sailor Moon and the Sailor Guardians are about to face their greatest challenge yet — high school! But as the girls take their next big step in life and Chibi-Usa prepares to return to the future, a mysterious force frees the evil Queen Nehalennia! While the struggle to contain her old enemy will be difficult, it may be Mamoru’s year of studying abroad that hurts Usagi the most. But there’s even more to take Usagi’s mind off of long-distance love with the arrival of the villainous Sailor Anima Mates and the heroic Sailor Star Lights! Who could be behind this new wave of evil? And why are the Star Lights resistant to working with Sailor Moon? Usagi has her hands full, but she’ll always make time to write a love letter to her beloved Mamo.
