The Food Wars! manga previously announced that it’s ending was coming up and that happened with the latest installment of Weekly Shonen Jump. It also announced that there were big announcements to make, which are now shaping up. Though the manga has ended, it is getting a three-chapter epilogue in the monthly magazine Jump Giga.
On the anime side, the big announcement there was that a fourth season has been in the works and it’s set to begin in October 2019 as part of the fall season. No episode count was listed but it’s getting the name of Food Wars! The Plate of God.
The series comes from Yuto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki that began in 2012 and has thirty-six volumes out in Japan when all is said and done. Viz Media has been bringing it over here while the anime has been coming out with a couple of well-received seasons so far of the anime distributed by Sentai Filmworks.
