A new anime adaptation was announced last November 2018 with Kadokawa bringing out word that the manga series by Bino Wasteful Days of High School Girl has gotten the nod. Set for a summer 2019 debut in July, the official site has now confirmed a July 5th, 2019 debut on the majority of the usual broadcast and satellite services. Takeo Takahashi is serving as the chief director with Hijiri Sanpei as the hands-on director. Masahiro Yokotani is working on the series composition with Sachiko Yasuda working on the character designs and serving as the chief animation director with production at Passione.
The series cast includes M.A.O as Majo, Satomi Satou as Lily, Kazuyuki Okitsu as Waseda, Chinatsu Akasaki as Nozomu Tanaka, Haruka Tomatsu as Akane Kikuchi, Aki Toyosaki as Shiori Saginomiya, Maria Naganawa as Saku Momoi, Miyu Tomita as Minami Yamamoto, and Rie Takahashi as Kanade Ninomae.
The series, known as Joshi Kosei no Mudazukai, has been running in Comic Newtype with its fourth print volume so far.
Plot Concept: The story focuses on three girls: Tanaka, nicknamed “Idiot” for her low test scores; Kikuchi, nicknamed “Ota” for her obsession with boys-love stories; and Saginomiya, nicknamed “Robot” for being a genius but emotionless. Together with a colorful cast of characters, the hopeless girls live wasteful days of youth.
