Things have been busy for Anthony Mackie lately, what with his time in the last two Avengers films, and he just had a great role in the opening episode of the fifth season of Black Mirror. He’s also got a few projects lined up such as the second season of Altered Carbon and there’s the Disney+ series for him and Sebastian Stan as the Falcon and Winter Soldier.
Now he’s adding a new Netflix film to his list with Outside the Wire, which comes from director Mikael Håfström. Mackie is set to produce it alongside acting in it. Production expected to begin in August and more casting is being finalized.
Plot Concept: Set in the future, Mackie will play a drone pilot sent into a deadly militarized zone where he finds himself working for an android officer tasked to locate a doomsday device before it falls into the hands of insurgents.
