‘Lucifer’ Will See Us In Hell With A Fifth & Final Season Renewal

2 min read
Now this is some great news to get the day underway with.

After the third season of Lucifer ended on a huge cliffhanger and was canceled by Fox, Netflix stepped in and not only picked up the SVOD rights that Hulu had but gave a green light to a fourth season. That landed last month to strong viewership according to trending sites and ended in its own wonderful cliffhanger, one that could serve as a dark series finale if needed. Thankfully, Netflix has now quickly given the show a fifth season order, presumably for ten more episodes, that will also be its final season, giving the property more than enough room to wrap up the project as a whole.

Check out Tom Ellis’ “announcement” for it below.

“We are so incredibly thankful to Netflix for resurrecting our show last season, and now letting us finish the story of Lucifer on our terms,” series executive producers Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson said. “Most importantly, we want to thank the fans for their incredible passion and support. The best is yet to come!!”

The series stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar, Lauren German as Chloe Decker, Kevin Alejandro as Dan Espinoza, Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez, D.B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen, Rachael Harris as Linda Martin, Graham McTavish as Father Kinley and Inbar Lavi as Eve.

Plot Concept: Reeling from the aftermath of Chloe seeing his devil face, Lucifer faces a new challenge: Eve, the original sinner herself, is back. Does she want revenge for when he tempted her out of Eden oh so many years ago… or something else entirely?
