Peppermint Anime Showcases 5th ‘Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online’ German Dub Clip

German distributor Peppermint Anime is getting the home video side of another of their properties together with the Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online anime series now detailed with its fifth dub clip. The clip clocks in at over two minutes and gives us a pretty good action sequence to check out both for the action and the dub elements. The twelve episode series is getting released as two collections with the first out with April 26th, 2019 release date and the second coming up with a June 28th, 2019 debut. It’ll be priced at 45 euro on Blu-ray and 38 euro on DVD for the six episodes that it’ll contain and it’ll be a bilingual set done as a single disc compared to the two discs for the US release.

The first set includes the first six episodes plus the 5.5 bonus episode along with an Audio Commentary by Japanese creators & cast and the Textless Opening and Ending sequences.

Masayuki Sakoi directing the series with Yousuke Furoda handling the series composition. Yoshio Kosakai served as the chief animation director and character designer that’s adapting Kouhaku Kuroboshi’s original designs. Studio 3Hz worked on the animation production.

The English dub is written and directed by Alex Von David and stars , Reba Buhr as Karen Kohirumaki/Llenn, Allegra Clark as Pitohui, Faye Mata as Fukaziroh, Ray Chase as M, Cindy Robinson as Eva, Greg Chun as David, Jeannie Tirado as Shirley, Kellen Goff as Lux and Peter, Kira Buckland as Toma, Landon McDonald as Thin Mask, Laura Stahl as Clarence, Morgan Berry as Tanya, Rebecca Davis as Roza, Tamara Ryan as Drill Sergeant, Wendee Lee as Sophie, and Xanthe Huynh as Anna.

The light novel itself back in 2014 and has five volumes out so there’s plenty of material for the manga to adapt. The manga adaptation comes from writer Keiichi Shigusawa with artwork by Tadadi Tamori.

Plot Concept: In the world of guns and steel that is Gun Gale Online, LLENN has been a devoted, female solo player. She is obsessed with two things: donning herself entirely in pink and honing her skills with consistent gameplay. She soon discovers her love for hunting other players (a.k.a. PK), and becomes known as the “Pink Devil.”

One day, LLENN meets a beautiful yet mysterious player, Pitohui, and the two click right away. Doing as she is told by Pitohui, LLENN enters the Squad Jam group battle.
