What They Say
An extra-SEXY volume packed with all the extra fanservice readers can handle! The ladies of Trinity Seven…visit the hot springs! The ladies of Trinity Seven…have a cosplay contest! The ladies of Trinity Seven…show off their swimwear! Titties and titiLLATION abound in this light-hearted detour before the series heads back to the serious main story!

Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers):
This volume reveals six unrelated chapters that encompass their own short stories. Nothing too serious in any of these shorts, but plenty of sexiness and just general fun exploits. I don’t personally have a “best girl” in the Trinity Seven series, but there are a few standout chapters in this volume for me.

New Face and School Life takes place early on in the series with Lilith still trying to determine why Arata’s presence irritates her so much. We are also reminded that Arin was that “first girl” that was infatuated with Arata. At fifteen volumes into this series, this chapter proves to be a great reminder of how it all began for readers that have been following this series since its U.S. release back in 2015.

Swimming Pool and Happening Time is also a fun story as it focuses on two of the more interesting characters for me. The reason I find Akio and Mira two of the more interesting girls is that they were both holdouts in the whole “we love the protagonist” trope of this series. It is just more fun when any given character needs more time and interactions to get on board with a new and often outlandish idea in a story. Makes them seem more realistic.

I perhaps enjoyed Shamanic Training and Shinobi Girl the most. As a ninja, it is expected that Levi might be the most secretive and mysterious of the Trinity Seven. But she is also the trickster of the group and seemingly the most playful, especially in seductive terms. So no surprise when her training session involves bathing suits and nudity!

In Summary:
I love this volume for the pure fact of what it is; a special release of short stories originally included with the Japanese DVD release. It makes this volume a special treat for American fans that normally hear about but never get to experience those custom bonus manga bundled with the original Japanese DVD release of some anime series. With that said, will readers be able to skip this special volume without missing any key story points? Sure, but why would any fan miss an opportunity to see more of the non-battle interactions between Arata and the girls? If anything, these additional shorts only add to the “reasoning” behind the Trinity Seven’s desire to stand by Arata’s side. Great stuff from Yen Press!
