An event was held this past February in Japan at the Harajuku Penny Lane where they commemorated the release of nine records being reprinted from various Studio Ghibli films for their soundtracks. That had them bringing out reprints for films like Nausicaa and Totoro among others.
Tokuma Japan has brought out a seven-minute video digest from some of what went into mastering the records, touching on their production, and then the event itself. Sadly, it’s not subtitled, but knowing the way some Ghibli fans want to see as much as they can about all aspects of the studio, it’s definitely a fun little bit overall to see.
